Learn the basics of object-oriented programming, become proficient writing programs using the Java language, and prepare for the AP Computer Science exam. Learn by doing - hands-on science. In this class students learn about analog electronics by building and understanding audio amplifiers, microphones, and switching circuits. Digital electronics is explored by learning to build electronic devices and programming a microprocessor to operate them. Students complete the class by programming a hand-built robot to navigate a maze unassisted. Using the Python programming language and robots learn the fundamentals of object-oriented programming.
